La Permanence.
Twelve pieces each year. 38mm. White gold.
For those who have waited long enough to understand what they want.
Lord Vallier wrote, in a private letter to a collector in Vienna, that the difficulty of creating a truly permanent object lies not in the mechanism but in the intention. La Permanence is made with that understanding.

Depth, not surface.
Hand-engraved silver, oxidised in controlled gradients. Darker at the periphery, lifting toward a pale, almost white centre. Roman numerals, engraved and filled with black lacquer. Blued steel breguet hands. The maison name at twelve o'clock. The year of creation at six. Nothing else.
One continuous form.
38 millimetres. White gold. Cushion-form, derived from early twentieth-century pocket cases. Each one cast individually, finished by hand. The lugs flow from the case without joint. 9.4 millimetres thick. A fluted crown with the Vallier sigil engraved on the cap — barely visible at normal viewing distance, unmistakable under examination.

Decorated as though it will be examined.
